There were higher polygon models (compared to the Sega Saturn port of the original), texture mapping, and some game changes. It was given away for free via mail to all registered Saturn owners in the USA and was released for sale in Japan and Europe. Additionally, there was an arcade version on the ST-V (a Sega Saturn-based arcade platform), and it was ported to Microsoft Windows as Virtua Fighter PC in 1996. The Windows version played at a higher resolution and had the option to use textured Remix models or the original flat-shaded models.
