The Combatribes is a three-player simultaneous close combat battle where warriors fight against rival gang members. In addition to being able to collect and throw objects like motorcycles, players have a range of interesting combat moves that can be unleashed on their opponents. These include picking up unconscious enemies and hitting other enemies with them, as well as bashing two enemies’ heads together and slamming the heads of leaned-back enemies into the ground. It was released in June 1990.
One of the clown thugs in Level 2 was inspired by the Joker character from the 1989 Batman film.
In Action 3, a “Blocking” commercial is visible on two TV screens.
