“Gals Panic is a game that everyone who has frequented arcade halls in the ’90s knows. If there’s a crowded game, you can be sure it’s either this game or another similar one. Also known as the ‘strip game.’ The aim of the game is to reveal the underlying image by cutting the play area piece by piece after selecting a character. There are three stages to strip a character. Don’t rush to reveal the image; it’s best to corner the monsters in the game, leaving the minimum amount of area. When you reach an 80% cutting ratio, the image will appear before you.
Gals Panic! is an adult puzzle game in the style of “Qix.” The goal is to uncover 80% of the contrasting girl’s image within a time limit while avoiding enemies.
To complicate matters, there’s a bar with a pointer at the top of the screen. If the pointer drops below a certain level (indicated by a color change), the image turns into a monster. The pointer slowly creeps towards the monster side of the bar over time. When the player uncovers a significant part of the silhouette, the uncovered part of the image brings the pointer back towards the girl side of the bar. If a round is completed while the monster image is displayed, the round must be repeated.
After each round, there is a roulette game where the player can earn rewards or penalties that will be applicable in the next round.
After winning three rounds against a girl, the graphic becomes her photographic image.”
