**”Foes of Ali”** is a sports boxing game featuring Sonny Liston, Joe Frazier, and Kenny Norton, allowing you to check the reliability of Chuvalo and Cooper’s punches. You can choose one of three modes: “Exhibition,” “Tournament,” or “Carrier,” viewing the fight through the lens of twenty-one cameras. But most importantly, you can also join in the bloody and uncompromising “massacre according to the rules.”

The main menu includes:
– “Exhibition” is a friendly meeting;
– “Historical” – fight against one of Ali’s real opponents;
– “Historical Information” – information about the real fight;
– “Boxing Statistics” – information about the boxers;
– “Special” – a fight between any two boxers (optional);
– “Tournament” is a tournament consisting of four or eight boxers. You will see the draw results. Click “Shuffle Again” to do a second draw. Click “New” to restart the tournament;
– “Career” – view the history of Muhammad Ali’s fight career.

Fight controls:
– A is the left straight punch;
– B is the right straight punch;
– C is a duck;
– => + A is the left hook;
– => + â is the right hook to the body;
– To evade right (or left), C => (or <=); - Reverse + A (or B) - left (or right) uppercut; - Up + ?? - an uppercut; - Down + A (or B) - left (or right) to the body; - Down + C - slip back; - L / R is the left (right) block. If you press the button easily and release it before a punch, you will have made a cheating move. **Attributes of Ali's opponents:** - **Henry Cooper**: Conservative and hardly moves around the ring. His left hook is dangerous. Cooper can be easily knocked out. - **Sonny Liston**: Prefers to work on the body. Favorite combination: straight punch - hook - hook. Very aggressive, but not fast or durable. - **George Chuvalo**: Follows you with short steps. Average speed, but powerful punches, especially straight. Maintains his distance perfectly. Wait until he tires, then knock him out with a flurry. - **Joe Frazier**: Excellent moves, weak in defense but dangerous in attack. Strong left, good left hook. Almost never gets a knockout; wins by points. - **Jimmy Ellis**: Throws punches that circle near the opponent without tiring. Favorite combination: straight - straight - cross. Use strong straight punches against him. - **Bob Foster**: Moves very quickly around the ring, hits immediately after stopping. Try to get ahead of him with a punch. Foster's punch power is average, and his striking speed is also average. He tends to go for combinations with the use of a strong straight punch. - **Ken Norton**: Delayed but well-organized defense. Prefers close combat and uses the strongest uppercuts. Use blocks: Norton's slips and dives allow for a series of good shots at close range. - **Chuck Wepner**: Uses painful jabs, preferring to pull you into a corner. Give him a fight since Wepner's punches are quite weak. - **Spinks**: Aggressive, especially after a knockout. Average speed but heavy punches. Excellent command of the left. Favorite combination: double - straight. Defend and wait until he exposes himself. Spinks stops immediately after a strong punch. **Tips:** - The sound of a blocked glove is different from the sound of a successful punch. This is helpful when fighting. - When striking, do not release the button beforehand; otherwise, you will only get deceptive moves. The time required for a punch increases if your boxer is tired. - One of the most important parameters of an attack is the distance to the enemy. Staying far just wastes your hands, and punches that are too close are ineffective (exceptions are uppercuts and clinches). The optimal distance is represented by one step. - Move more. Follow the enemy and try to corner them. And when your energy is close to zero, avoid the enemy. - Try to predict the enemy's punches. If they are idle for one or two seconds, duck! **Cheats:** - In "Debug mode," access it through the "Pause" menu for fight time! (P), and press L + R + C to reach debugging options. - Use the name "TEAM" to see the developers. - To see a champion's photo from 1969 in light heavyweight (Ivan Prebeg), enter the last name - "PREBEG." - The names "ZIPPI" and "CROWD" will liven up the game - give them a try! - If you use the name "AIAAT" or "AIVT," the computer opponent will be foolish. - The name "PADC" activates three special abilities. Pressing the A button for six seconds will knock boxer B down. By pressing A on the same boxer with a right eye press; if done three times, the referee will stop the game. The C button will immediately take you to the tenth round.
