It’s a video game for the Nintendo Entertainment System. Released by Tecmo in 1990, it is a football game focused on the World Cup, as its name suggests. It is a port of the game Tehkan World Cup, which was released in arcades in 1985. Although the two games appear almost identical, Tecmo World Cup Soccer lacks the speed and fluidity of its arcade predecessor. While the gameplay seems unchanged, the absence of analog control support in the NES version makes it a game that requires almost entirely different tactics, becoming a game controlled solely by digital inputs.
