**Jammit** – A 1-on-1 street basketball game released in several popular gaming platforms in 1994. Attempting to surpass the playability of NBA Jam with its street style, Jammit faces the risk of being a parody of itself. The game is played on half a court, so you need to “clear” the ball once you have it in your hands. You can’t do this by giving a few valuable points to the opposing team. Management isn’t given much complexity, and sometimes you might want to show off. There are only two male players, which is not surprising, and a white girl. The culture of the United States in the 90s was exactly the situation, especially in street culture and among rappers. So, before us, there is Roxy, a busty girl, Chill, a black guy, and Slade, a prototype of Rocky Balboa. The game’s creators tried to give an “atmosphere” – with funk sounds, slang speakers, and urban backgrounds, but it all feels a bit distant. The music remains there and there, and the regularly repeating expressions don’t add points to the game. And the girl jumps more suddenly, gentlemen—so where is the good??? But it’s not that bad. Most nights, the background is what you need. The abundance of settings, 7 variations, and special chips are nice to watch. Playing against a friend is also interesting. And in a single-player game, you need to stop in 8 battles, plus you can bet and win easy cash. Additionally, there is another black character – The Judge, but he doesn’t bounce the ball. Still, the game’s reviews are not the most impressive, but it can’t be called bad either.

Jammit is available for 3DO, PC, Sega Genesis, and Super Nintendo. The disk versions are definitely steeper. The 16-bit versions are limited in terms of graphics and cartridge sizes but aren’t too different from the original. There are no demo fights when announcing athletes in the SNES game.
